How can an intersectional approach inform the EU Green Deal? Insights from 24 social experiments

This online coffee talk presented findings and recommendations on embedding Gender and Intersectional diversity into local actions supporting the European Green Deal. It draws on 24 social experiments, designed and facilitated as part of the EU supported SHARED GREEN DEAL project.
The analysis of these 24 experiments, in six experiment streams reflecting the priorities of the EU Green Deal (clean energy, efficient renovation, biodiversity, circular economy, sustainable food & sustainable mobility), revealed challenges contained within social and cultural norms of the different European regions, such as the ongoing reproduction of gender roles and stereotypes at home and in the community, and presented opportunities such as how to develop safe spaces and methods for inclusive community action.
The report Gender and intersectional diversity structures that shape the EU Green Deal was published as part of the event and presented by Aggeliki Aggeli from Aalborg University Copenhagen and Pia Wieser from WECF. Reflections were offered by Dr. Marielle Feenstra.
