Call for local partners on Preserving Biodiversity
In this experiment stream we will explore the different values that people place upon biodiversity in rural and urban areas. To investigate this, we will use the approach of Study Circles (a non-formal community learning approach) to engage 4 groups of adults in 4 different countries. We expect that results from the social experiment will induce a transformative change in values regarding biodiversity and will help to counteract biodiversity loss.

What could you receive funding to do?
- Co-design an adult education programme focused on reinforcing existing values or change in values regarding biodiversity. This will be done via proactive involvement of participants through a series of meetings to:
- Identify interest in biodiversity, define goals and develop a learning plan
- Finetuning the learning goals and developing an action plan to transfer the knowledge learned to a wider public via the organization of a public event (e.g. design of an exhibition, a round table discussion, a new walking trail, a brochure, set of postcards, etc.)
- Delivering the learning programme with the potential visit and presentation of biodiversity expert(s)
- Organise a final public event on biodiversity
Please note that concerning the target group there is an aim to engage adults who may have experienced isolation (e.g. during the pandemic).

REQUIREMENTS
To be eligible for this SHARED GREEN DEAL Grant, applicants must:
- Be located in the EU or countries associated with H2020 (note: this includes the UK for this call)
- Be either:
- A local or regional authority (including municipalities, cities, towns, villages and their local municipally owned companies and agencies)
- A not-for-profit organisation (e.g. NGOs, civil society organisations, associations etc).
