Local Partner of SHARED GREEN DEAL Nominated for EU Award

The demand for energy-efficient retrofitting across Europe is massive—and one local partner of SHARED GREEN DEAL is being recognised for its efforts to deliver it.

Amiestas ('Let's Renovate the City') is a public non-profit institution from Vilnius that supports energy-efficient refurbishment, operating as a one-stop-shop (OSS) for renovations in the city since 2020. In 2023, they joined SHARED GREEN DEAL as a local partner to engage local stakeholders in a renovation network as part of the Efficient Renovations stream.

Now, the European Commission has announced that Amiestas is one of three nominees for the European Sustainable Energy Week's Award for Local Energy Action.

In the nomination, the organisers write: "Amiestas works closely with residents and contractors at every step, from the very first meeting with the residents to the last stroke of paint by the contractors, taking care of administrative approvals, funding applications, tenders, and project supervision, while maintaining a constant flow of information to keep residents fully engaged."
