The world in transition: rethinking societal challenges and the response of local experiments

This online Coffee Talk highlighted the critical role of local-level innovation in addressing today’s pressing societal challenges. The goal was to explore how these localised efforts can overcome these challenges and be scaled, supported, and integrated into more cohesive, multi-level policy responses across Europe.

The event presented the new report ‘Societal Challenges and the Green Deal in Europe Post-Coronavirus’. Based on the SHARED GREEN DEAL social experiments, the publication examines how societal challenges such as environmental crises, geopolitical tensions and living costs can drive, accelerate, or hinder progress in the European Green Deal implementation.
