Governing the European Green Deal: how local experiments can help

In this online Coffee Talk, we explored how the European Green Deal is being governed at the local level through social experiments. We looked at what the Green Deal means to local actors, what kinds of governance innovations are taking place, and what happens when we do things differently. We also talked about what is getting in the way of effective local experimental governance of the Green Deal and shared recommendations for policymakers, research, and funders.
The event celebrated the publication of ‘Governing the European Green Deal Through Local Social Experiments’. It analyses how the SHARED GREEN DEAL social experiments framed the European Green Deal in terms of local challenges and have contributed to the governance of this policy.
This webinar was part of a series of short online events held every Thursday in October. See the full programme/playlist here: https://sharedgreendeal.eu/webinars-ssh.
