Governing the European Green Deal: how local experiments can help

In this webinar, we will explore how the European Green Deal is being governed at the local level through social experiments. We will look at what the Green Deal means to local actors, what kinds of governance innovations are taking place, and what happens when we do things differently. We’ll also talk about what is getting in the way of effective local experimental governance of the Green Deal and share recommendations for policymakers, research, and funders.
Participants at the event will be among the first to receive the publication ‘Governing the European Green Deal Through Local Social Experiments’. It analyses how the SHARED GREEN DEAL social experiments framed the European Green Deal in terms of local challenges and have contributed to the governance of this policy.
The webinar is kept intentionally short so that those with busy agendas can join, but anyone with questions, comments, and further ideas is invited to remain on the call following its official end.
You can register for the webinar here.
This webinar is part of a series of short online events held every Thursday in October. See the full programme here: https://sharedgreendeal.eu/webinars-ssh.
